As part of our continued support for young British artists and printmakers Picture is sponsoring the Central St Martin’s Art Auction being held on Friday 2 November 2012. We have framed several works including prints by Mark Dunhill, Hamish Fulton, Karen Knorr and Wendy Taylor.
The annual auction raises funds for the Postgraduate Fine Art Programme Degree Show in June, and in addition this year, the launch of the Frank Martin Sculpture Fellowship Fund.
In support of the Postgraduate Fine Art Programme works for the main auction have been donated by artists including Antony Gormley, Sandra Blow and Mona Hatoum. Over 30 works will be auctioned live in addition to a silent auction of works by postgraduate students.
In support of the Frank Martin Sculpture Fellowship works have been donated by artists including Sir Anthony Caro, Eduardo Paolozzi, Richard Long and Bruce McLean. The Frank Martin Sculpture Fellowship honours the memory of the former Head of Sculpture at Saint Martin’s School of Art – his uniquely progressive approach to Fine Art education earned the College an international reputation at the forefront of contemporary sculpture
The art auction, in partnership with Sotheby’s, takes place in the Lethaby Galley at Central Saint Martin’s King’s Cross campus.
